“Here I Am,” The Freestyle Fellowship, 1991.
(from here.)
you know i actually had to explain to the sister last night how we made mixes back in the day on cassette tapes. the whole queue the tape, listen hovercraft-style to your one radio station, and get your finger on that red record button the nanosecond your song of the mo’ came on because it was so lame to have the intro all clipped off. i mean, the mix was essentially ruined if it didn’t have the full track, no? you might listen to it by yourself, but it wasn’t the one you were going to copy for everyone else.
my sister laughed and then printed out the playlist complete with an album artwork mosaic cover for her mix.
[disclaimer: my mixes did not contain freestyle fellowship, but they did contain montell jordan and soul for real. fur reals.]

This hip-hop dancer is breakdancing. You can learn some hip-hop moves on Page 6.” [via]](http://17.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_kt7tvxO6sJ1qz6f9yo1_400.jpg)
